Apple People for Second Grade

The students in our second grade will be studying about Johnny Appleseed and the pioneers for Social Studies.  As part of this unit, we will be creating Apple People on Wednesday, Sept. 19.

Please be sure that your child brings 1 apple to school by Wednesday, September 19.

Any color or type of apple will be fine.  The apples will be used for a graphing lesson and a lesson in circumference in math, as well as for a creative writing lesson in Language Arts.

Your child will need his/her apple by the start of class on Wednesday.  Any apples brought to school on Tuesday will be refrigerated and given to their owners on Wednesday.  Please do not send any apples earlier than Tuesday, Sept. 18.
